The evacuation of contaminated soils is performed after receiving a permit from the Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection.
The permit is required in the following incidences:
- When there is a need to evacuate the soil to end-point facilities;
- When the contaminated soil needs to be evacuated to a treatment plant, before transferring it to an end-point facility;
- When the contaminated soil was treated in a treatment plant and need to be transferred to an end-point facility;
- In special and urgent cases when soil evacuation is required, such as due to a leak or spillage.
